New Company Aims To Grow The Game of Golf

Friday, January 14th, 2011

Danbury, CT (PRWEB) January 5, 2005

Simple Golf LLC a new golf company located in western Connecticut has announced an ambitious new program with the goal of growing the game of golf. The company with their new SimpleSwing program can create successful golfers in an amazingly short time. Simple Golf’s testing with students is backed by scientific measurements that show students can become successful golfers in as little as 1/10 the time of traditional golf methods.

Simple Golf believes that by making beginners successful much more quickly they can bring many new players into the game and help reduce golf’s high dropout rate. GolfÂ?s high drop out rate has been the industry’s dirty little secret for a long time. At last year’s PGA show it was announced that 2/3 of the players that take up the game drop out, failing to become long term golfers. Almost 1 million people per year give up the game because it is so frustrating.

Simple Golf is trying to change that by taking the complexity and difficulty out of learning the golf swing. They have re-engineered the golf swing by simplifying it down to its basic components. There are only 3 basic swing elements in SimpleSwing: The Power Thumb Grip, Power Set Stance and Shoulder Powered Swing. SimpleSwing now allows anyone to be able to play golf well. Thousands of hours of research and development, along with hundreds of hours of documented testing have shown that for any person who really wants to play golf well, it is now possible. SimpleSwing has been proven to work very quickly and is getting rave reviews from golfers of all skill levels.

SimpleSwing’s biggest advantage is that an average golfer can learn the basic swing very quickly. Other benefits include more distance, accuracy and most of all more fun. Joe Davidson, president of Simple Golf LLC, says, “The design goal of the project was to engineer the easiest-to-learn golf swing. It was actually, serendipitous that this simple golf swing turned out to be so effective that it also gives the average golfer more distance, more accuracy and more consistency.”

While the SimpleSwing instructional package can help all levels of golfers from beginner to low handicapper, the company is focusing primarily on higher handicap golfers and those new to the game. Davidson says, “SimpleSwing works equally well for all levels of golfers, but helping a low handicapper get an extra birdie or two per round isn’t as exciting as helping a beginner improve their best score by twenty strokes. This is the reason we are concentrating on the beginners and higher handicappers because they are the golfers that can immediately benefit the most from SimpleSwing. They are the ones that show the most dramatic improvements in the shortest time and they are the ones most likely to give up the game out of frustration.”

Simple Golf is distributing their SimpleSwing package through their web site (http://www.simplegolf.com ). In addition, they have just concluded a deal with 200 on-line golf stores to carry their package. They are also setting up a golf school in Orlando, FL and are recruiting golf instructors. Davidson says, Â?We are looking forward to working with other golf companies and golf organizations to make a positive difference in the game of golf.Â?

The SimpleSwing package includes an instructional video (DVD or VHS) and instruction manuals. There are bonus chipping and drills videos, practice cards (to take to the range), a record book (to help you manage your game) included in the package. Review copies are available for accredited media by going to http://simplegolf.com/press.htm or calling 203-798-8489.

Hit and Stop/Weight Forward Drill

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

The goal here is to pre-set impact (even to over-do it a bit) with the left knee flexed and forward to put in the secondary axis tilt. You then take an abbreviated backswing and try to stop the club almost immediately after impact by maintaining the flying wedge and extended arms. I could have done better on that in this video, but you can get the gist of it regardless.
